Failed IL Rep, Adam Kinzinger and the 5th Amendment. His Ignorance is Overwhelming!
Kinzinger claims to respect the 5th Amendment and then summarily claims those who exercise that right are guilty!

It takes a special kind of ignorance to claim respect for the 5th Amendment and then, in the same sentence, claim anyone exercising that constitutional right is automatically guilty! But we're talking about Adam Kinzinger here…so there's that. With the political environment in this country, and the persecution of conservatives by leftist politicians and politicized, federal law enforcement, who could blame anyone for exercising their 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination? So, I have a question for Kinzinger; if you were under criminal referral for anything or if you were going to trial for a crime, whether committed or not, would you be the self-righteous ignoramus you are displaying here and testify, or would you exercise your 5th Amendment right against being forced to testify?
Many politicians on both sides have used the 5th Amendment, including former IRS attorney Lois Lerner. Lerner was the head of the IRS Exempt division during the Obama years, when it was revealed that her department was targeting conservative 501(c) groups and denying them tax exempt status. This was done, again to silence conservative voices.
Alan Dershowitz, Emeritus Professor of Law at Harvard, wrote a piece for Newsweek on the unconstitutional, J6 Select Committee’s criminal referral of Donald Trump to the DOJ. Mr. Dershowitz is no conservative either. He is a very liberal lawyer and is not trying to protect Donald Trump here. Not only was this piece written by a liberal lawyer, but it was also published by the very liberal, Newsweek Magazine. And although Newsweek published this as “opinion,” Dershowitz is using facts here. Congress or any subcommittee of Congress only has authority to legislate. Only the executive branch can prosecute an individual, and it must be done through the DOJ. You can read the Newsweek piece by clicking here.
From its inception, right up until its illegal referral of Donald Trump to the DOJ, the J6 Select Committee had been an unconstitutional, political tool used for persecution of Trump and those people who know that the 2020 election was as fraudulent as the J6 Committee itself. The 5th Amendment was written, specifically for the scenarios we see in modern politics today. Adam Kinzinger and other “elected officials” speak against the invocation of the 5th Amendment, merely because they don’t want Trump or his supporters to have the ability to protect themselves against an out-of-control government.
In just a few weeks, Kinzinger and his J6 partner and neocon friend Liz Cheney will be gone from Congress. Thank God for that!
