Governor Hochul, the Worst Governor in New York State History Basically Said, Screw Equal Application of the Law
Governor Hochul's comment regarding "Judge" Engoron's bullshit Trump verdict and the effect on businesses in New York shows a clear lack of common sense.
As of this year, there are approximately 19.5 million residents living in New York State. I do not know if this number includes all of the illegal aliens that Hochul has let in and that you and I are paying for. Many millions of the legal, New York, taxpaying citizens are also business owners who have taken out collateralized loans for their businesses, much like Trump has done over the years, using the same scenario and standards. But now, according to Letitia James and “Judge” Engoran (2 people), the practice of taking out those loans, that has been used for hundreds of years and millions of businesses has been deemed illegal.
Yesterday on the radio show Cats Round Table on WABC 770 AM, Hochul was asked whether or not business owners should be worried about being targeted like Trump has been regarding collateralized loans. The fear is that if they can do this to Trump, they can target anyone. Conservative business owners, beware!
I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are businesspeople have nothing to worry about because they’re very different.
New York Sanctuary State Governor
Kathy Hochul
The only thing extraordinary and unusual about this circumstance is that Trump is running for president. Hochul is also claiming that out of all the businesses in New York, who have taken out loans, none of them have ever attempted to overstate their assets in an effort to get better loan terms or a larger amount. How the hell does Governor Hochul know that none of New Yorks business owners have not committed fraud based on this new precedent that has been established by James and Engoron, while obviously being endorsed by the Governor? Does equal application of law, ‘er equal persecution not exist in New York? Are we all to believe that out of the millions of businesses in New York, that President Trump, and ONLY President Trump is guilty of this new precedent on fraud? Does everyone see how fucking ridiculous this is?
This egregious ruling will do far more to hurt New York than most people realize. We all know the obvious damage this will do. New York will be hard pressed to attract new businesses to the state and will be even harder pressed to hold on to current businesses as well. This ruling is a kick in the cajónes for New York during a time when there is already an exodus of talent and business underway in the state.
There is one thing that many have not spoken about. This ruling damages New York businesses just based on the fact that Trump can’t conduct business here. How many billions of dollars in lost revenue for other businesses will this cost? How many billions of dollars in tax revenue will this cost the state, because I can guarantee that $355 million he has been fined, is a drop in the bucket compared to the loss of business and tax revenue this will all cost New York…just to get 1 man.
New York State didn’t win with this case, it lost BIG time! Are you listening Kathy Hochul?
