Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Dissent Sounds More Like a TikTok Post than a Judicial Opinion
Her dissent on the SCOTUS ruling against nation wide injunctions from lower, district courts is absolutely childish.
As I understand the concern, in this clash over the respec- tive powers of two coordinate branches of Government, the majority sees a power grab—but not by a presumably law- less Executive choosing to act in a manner that flouts the plain text of the Constitution. Instead, to the majority, the power-hungry actors are ... (wait for it) ... the district courts.

This was a small portion of her dissent to the recent 6-3 ruling against district courts forcing nationwide injunctions against the Executive Branch. We have all seen the “wait for it” phrase on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok videos. It is a cute/playful phrase, used as a hook to hold your attention on the video so you don’t miss the best part.
This type of verbiage has no place in any type of judicial ruling or dissent in any court. But here it is, being used by a Supreme Court “Justice” who sounds more like a 15 year old child than a judge. The kicker is, she wants to sound like a child because she is attempting to cater to the emotions of younger generations. This is your standard communist tactic…focus on emotions, not precedent, nor the Constitution.
Well, Justice Amy Coney Barrett slammed Justice Brown Jackson with the following rebuttal that was addressed specifically to her dissent. I won’t lie to you either in saying that I am shocked ACB blasted her colleague in this manner. It was judicial beat down that was well deserved and long overdue!
We will not dwell on Justice Jackson’s argument, which is at odds with more than two centuries’ worth of precedent, not to mention the Constitution itself. We observe only this: Justice Jackson decries an imperial executive while embracing an imperial judiciary.
