Robert Reich Claims that "Corporate Greed" and Cutting Jobs Are What Led to the Palestine, OH Chemical Disaster.
Why is it always corporate greed that the left screams about? What about greedy, Berkley professors who make $300k teaching 3 classes. What about speaking fees of $40k per hour...is that greedy?

If Robert Reich has some sort of evidence that 9600 job cuts, and a 4500% increase in shareholder payouts are responsible for the Palestine OH train derailment and chemical spill, he needs to produce it now. And if all of this is true about the 4500% increase in shareholder payouts, I am pretty upset I did not own that stock.
According to Wikipedia, Robert Reich has worked in government under the Ford and Carter administrations and was appointed Secretary of Labor under the Clinton administration. He has worked at UC Berkley’s Goldman School as a professor of public policy. He has been a lecturer at the John F Kennedy School of Government, and a professor of social and economic policy at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. He has been a contributing editor of The New Republic, The American Prospect, Harvard Business Review, The Atlantic, NY Times and the WSJ. In addition to all of these, well-paying jobs, he has also been a political commentator on CNN, MSNBC and many other, leftist news programs.
All of this leads us to one simple conclusion, and that is that Robert Reich is a victim of self-interest…or as he calls it, greed. And there is not a person on this planet that is not focused on self-interest. From the time we are born to the time we pass, our lives are focused on what is best for ourselves. From the poorest societies to the richest, self-interest (greed) rules the day. Simply put, it is human nature.
It is said that Robert Reich charges speaking fees of $40k/hour and that his estimated net worth is in the arena of $4,000,000. Just curious if Robert has ever owned a share of stock before. Has he ever had a retirement account that involved publicly traded shares of any greedy corporation? He is obviously getting a government pension from the United States Taxpayer, many of whom work within greedy corporations to feed not only their families, but his too.
Robert Reich also loves to speak out against capitalism, referring to it with the evil moniker of “trickle-down economics.” This term grew in popularity with the left during the Reagan years, when taxes were cut, creating one of the best economic boons in American history. And of course, any financial advancement of the human condition is always attacked by the left, unless it is their own financial advancement. In those cases, we are supposed to ignore their wealth.
History has been very clear about economic advancement. Free-market capitalism (trickle-down economics) has lifted millions upon millions out of poverty, not just in the US, but around the world. It actually created the greatest nation on earth and was ultimately responsible for winning wars that absolutely needed to be won throughout history.
Now I am going to tell you the real reason Robert Reich and other leftists hate capitalism. It was, and still is the reason for the largest, conservative voting block in history…the middle class. It is capitalism that allows UC Berkley to charge exorbitant amounts of money so they can pay Robert Reich his salary to indoctrinate all of those young kids into little Robert Reichs. It is capitalism that allows him to charge $40k for a 1 hour speech. It is capitalism that allows CNN, MSNBC and other news outlets to pay him for his political opinions. He is worth more than many people will ever earn in an entire lifetime. He is, in fact a beneficiary of the very “trickle-down” system that he speaks against. And at the end of the day, it is his own personal greed that has made him a millionaire.
Just curious, how much of his wealth do you think he has he given to charity?
