The Border Bill is Out and the Authors in the Senate Are Jumping Ship Now
A bill that was supposed to die in the House looks to be on its deathbed before it even leaves the Senate.
I imagine Chuck Shumer is probably ready for a strait jacket at this point. I can just see that miserable sonofabitch sitting under his desk, sucking his thumb and crying his eyes out. It’s a great image…close your eyes and give it a shot.
We knew this thing was dead on arrival in the House, but to not even make it out of the Senate is a shocker! Hell, the authors won’t even vote yes on it, because it is such an unclean bill. This should have been referred to the Ukraine Border Bill due to the fact that over half the entire price tag was going to Ukraine, and only about $20 Billion (17%) was designated for the border.
McConnell is the one who came out against the bill, and as the Senate Minority Leader, recommended that other Republicans vote against it. He didn’t do this due to the fact that it is poor legislation, he turned against the bill because the political mood in the country has changed. Things like that tend to happen when the country is being invaded by 6 million illegals and the legal citizens are footing the bill to bring them here.
Below is a breakdown of how the money was going to be spent, and approximate percentages.
Red Sea conflicts: $2.4 billion (3%)
Indo-Pacific: $4.8 billion (5%)
Gaza: $10 billion (9%)
Israel: $14.1 billion (12%)
Ukraine: $60.1 billion (52%)
US Border Security: $20.2 billion (17%)
Those who claim Trump wants chaos on the border are lying. If that were the case, the country would have been invaded when he was president. Additionally, most decent Republicans know these people are being let it to vote democrat, and any border bill would be a ruse, and do nothing to curb the flow of these illegal democrat voters.
At the end of the day, the people still have the power of the purse. Maybe we should take a year of two off of filing taxes. They can’t arrest us all, and they sure as hell can’t survive without our money.
