The Moral Compass that Used to be Made in America Has Become a Relic.

It is obvious that we have lost our way.

How did we get here? Nearly 250 years of unbridled freedom is standing on its last leg. But has it really been 250 years of unbridled freedom, or are we just lying to ourselves? With new revelations that our CIA has been working against our system of government since the end of WWII, our house has been on fire all around us for decades, as our freedom has been slowly stripped away by the very government that is supposed to protect it. Now we are waking up, only to realize that it might be too late to get out of the house, let alone change the batteries in the smoke detector.

Many who go to Washington, do so in hopes of changing things for the better, but when they get there, they realize that DC has the highest income per capita in the nation, and they want a piece of that action. Some of them take their wealth in the form of bribes from foreign adversaries, while others like to use their position to play the stock market and gain wealth through insider trading, all of it done without consequence. These are the elected officials who are supposed to be looking after the house on behalf of ALL the American people. But they have become so drunk on self-interest, that the people who started the fire in the first place, are in their end game of destroying it to satisfy their desire for control over our lives. One could say that their moral compasses are broken, but that insinuates that they owned one to begin with. Don’t get me wrong here…there are many good people in Washington, but there are an awful lot of very bad people there as well, and the bad ones seem to be ruling the roost, as well as the rest of society.

Then there are our moral compasses. We have let these things happen because we haven’t spoken out loud enough over the decades. We have been lazy simply by taking all that we have for granted. When was the last time you went to a school board meeting and spoke out? Have you been to a town or city hall meeting to see what the political class where you live is up to? Do you get involved in what your children learn at the schools that we pay taxes to? Do you even ask your child what they learned today? I’m not some self-righteous jerk who is pointing fingers at everyone else either, because I am as guilty as anyone else. Society as a whole has not done enough to safeguard what we are on the verge of losing…our free country.

I recently had a conversation with a family member where she said people don’t speak up because they feel their voices don’t matter and that they are powerless to change the corruption. This may have been the case over the years and is probably the very reason we find ourselves in the current situation. But there is good news! People are changing. People are speaking up and their voices are being heard. Those who felt powerless to change the corruption are screaming against it with vengeance now. We saw this in 2021 at school board meetings across the country with pissed off parents raising all kinds of hell because our educators are attempting to fill the heads of our kids with Marxism. The purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk has taken a huge, unconstitutional weapon away from our corrupt government and exposed it for the anti-American, deep-state operation that it is. Even here on substack, there are people like me who have chosen to start publishing their own thoughts about our corrupt government, all with the hope that it will change the hearts and minds of a few readers who may disagree with us.

Still, more voices are needed from more people. With all that is at stake for our future and that of our children, sitting on the sidelines is not an option anymore.
