Robert Reich is at it Again, Attacking Self-Made Billionaires for Becoming Self-Made Billionaires.
From inheritance and tax loopholes to labor exploitation and policy failures, billionaires owe their success to all of these things instead of their own choices and self-determination.

Isn't this tweet so typical? The left is so opposed to anyone being successful, unless it is someone on the left…like the author of this tweet. If you look at this a little deeper, you see that his attack isn't on billionaires per se, but rather on the very system that created those billionaires. It is an attack on free market capitalism, or as Mr. Reich likes to call it, the evil sounding moniker, “trickle-down economics.” Did I mention that Mr. Reich is a multi-millionaire? He is worth far more money than most of us will see in a lifetime.
July 13, 2012 is a date which will live in infamy. Barack Obama was giving his “you didn’t build that” campaign speech in Roanoke, VA when he decided to tell everyone how he thought the real world works. The great thing about this video is the look on his face as he utters the last two sentences. Kinda like when you're walking down the street and realize you've just stepped in a pile of “it.” Here is a news flash to Barack and others like him. The entire system that you speak of in this speech is courtesy of good old, free-market capitalism. Without it, this country would not exist.
But this is the mentality of people like Robert Reich, Barack Obama and others in the democrat/socialist party. Maybe it's not even a mentality. Maybe it's a little more audacious, leaning toward rage or disdain. But notice that Reich doesn't mention millionaires in his tweet. Oh no…it's those pesky billionaires that are the real problem because they're greedy. Leftist millionaires who worked in government and went on to work as college propagandists, or other ex-government officials who own massive estates on Martha's Vinyard, never making it to billionaire status are not the problem here, because they are only millionaires. They, therefore, cannot even be the slightest bit greedy! You see how this works, right?
Instead of billionaires, what about politicians who use their office to enrich themselves by use of insider trading…are they greedy? The Pelosi family has ONLY made about $100 million, even though they've done so illegally. Why doesn’t Robert Reich speak out against her, and demand she pay a luxury tax like he has advocated for Elon Musk to be subjected to? And Pelosi is not the only one in Congress who has used her office to enrich herself and her family either…there are plenty of others. These politicians are some of the greediest people on the entire planet, but Bob is going to give them a pass.
It all boils down to punishment for making different choices in one’s life. If you wake up and decide that you want to be a billionaire, you should be punished for thinking of it, or acting on it. You should be punished for using your inheritance (if you had one), government subsidies, tax loopholes (same ones leftist millionaires use) and exploiting labor by paying people to work for you. And if you actually make it to billionaire status because the anti-capitalist left and their anti-capitalist policies have failed to keep you from reaching your goal, you should now pay a luxury tax. Especially if your name is Elon Musk and you purchased Twitter to open it up to all opinions instead of just those on the left.
Be careful Bob, many of those billionaires are leftists who donate to democrats. Biting the hand that in many cases, feeds your party is not something they will appreciate very much.
